Built for Speed is a collection that explores the idea of adventures in the mind. Years ago, my friends bought one of my prints for their newborn son's nursery — they supported the arts long before he grew up to become an artist himself. Watching their support unfold got me thinking about where imagination can take us. I started with the blueprint as a symbol of a blank slate and imagination in progress, then paired it with modes of transportation — cars, planes, trains, boats — as a way as a way to visually expand the horizon of ideas.
