Field Notes from the Garden was inspired by sitting on my back porch, watching everything come to life as spring broke through winter. There is a sense of bustling activity all around — bees buzzing, the world humming — and yet there is a peacefulness to watching this world come alive over time. I wanted to capture the frenetic energy of spring over a grid of time, using multi-directional, buzz-worthy movement layered over a quiet geometric pattern.
